LIVING KINDLY



This blog has evolved with me over the last three years, and I've finally realised my overall purpose for the blog, and myself - to live kindly. Of course, kindness comes in many forms but here is what I currently try to focus on:

Living a vegan lifestyle
I'd been vegetarian for a long time before I decided to go vegan. Honestly, it wasn't an easy transition for me but, now I'm fully vegan, I can't see myself ever going back. Once I had the epiphany about where our food comes from and its ethical and environmental toll, I couldn't ignore it any longer. Reducing our meat and dairy intake can be so rewarding and has such a huge impact. Of course veganism is so much more than what you eat and once I changed my diet, I realised how animal products are used in so many products and avoid them too.  I do truly believe that going vegan is one of the kindest things we can do.  

Protecting nature and the environment
I love all kinds of animals - big, small, furry, scaly, scary, benevolent, tame or wild. One of my favourite things is going for a nature walk with my partner Ross, who is a keen birdwatcher, and spotting wildlife.  I've recently started connecting to nature again and appreciating it in its entirety. Unfortunately it needs our protection now more than ever. 

Achieving gender equality, racial equality and being an LGBTQ+ ally
I also love all kinds of people and will not tolerate discrimination or bullying. I'm a proud feminist and am constantly striving to be a better ally to BIPOC, the Black Lives Matter movement and the LGBTQ+ community. 

Creating a platform for positive change
I want to create resources that inspire people and make the world a better place. I want to use this blog and my online space for good - another little positive space on the internet. And most of all, I want to keep learning and improving myself.
